Global Internet Real Time Broadcast of
The SAR Chief Executive's Policy Address
and Public Response
Hong Kong, October 4, 1999 ¡K.. g-world, a major Internet Service Provider (ISP) has teamed up with SINA.com.hk, global Chinese Destination site, to launch the ever first co-branded web site to broadcast live the Hong Kong SAR Chief Executive Tung Chee-hwa's policy address on October 6.
The co-brand site will be the first website to broadcast live the Chief Executive's policy address on October 6 (Wednesday) and the Legco's Q&A session on October 7(Thursday). Internet users and Chinese communities in Hong Kong, the Greater China and around the world will also be able to listen to the sessions on g-world's interactive Internet radio - Radio Republic at www.radiorepublic.com or http://dailynews.sina.com.hk/focus/pa99/index.html
The highlight of the collaborated effort will be live interactive chat events attended by major political party representatives at SINA.com.hk's "Live VIP Chat Room" on October 6 (Wednesday) and October 8 (Friday) from 9:00p.m. onwards. Internet users around the world will be able to voice their opinions on the policy address with text messages at http://chat2.sina.com.hk. The general public will be able to listen to real time broadcast of the events at SINA.com.hk or g-world's Radio Republic site at www.radiorepublic.com
